Best practices to Service Design in Public Sectors

 We researched and analyzed success cases with the ideas and methods of service design and user’s perspectives, summarized as this discussion paper about the success factors and learning from actual cases.



 In the "Digital Government Implementation Plan" (January 16, 2018, the e-Government Ministerial Meeting), the expertise "12 Principles for Service Design" was provided to support the project to promote user-centric government services.


 In addition, the National IT Strategy Office published "Service Design Practice Guidebook" to explain more detailed implementation procedures to gain the understanding of importance of service design.


 However, the actual situations of the services both in the center and local government show that the cases which was truly designed by user's perspective in accordance with the principles of service design are very few.
